I am a newly qualified salaried GP but a first time buyer and the whole home buying process is an overwhelming concept altogether, especially as I never had to take a loan before. David was great in helping me secure a great mortgage deal compared to my google search initially, and also guiding me through the process such as recommending a solicitor, surveyors, as well home insurance and personal protection, which he passed my details onto to brokers (Safe and Secure for Home/contents, and Prime Protection for personal protection insurances) who deal with finding a good deal on those, which was very helpful. They were also fee free which was great, and did all the quote finding and application processes for me too.

David did all the mortgage applications for me, and also kept looking for lower rates throughout the house process even after the mortgage offer, which was great. Very responsive to emails and communication throughout.

Overall excellent and professional service, extremely comprehensive for more than just the mortgage but all the other things required for what is otherwise an extremely stressful thing to do that is buying a house. My wife and I were both at the point of starting new jobs (ST2 to ST3), new hospitals, different pay grades and also wanted to port an existing mortgage. I was especially impressed when he was able to fix a last minute issue with our ID’s whilst we were abroad. He had highlighted an issue and we had assumed we would just have to go into the bank to confirm our IDs again the week after we got back, but by the time we had got back he had spoken to the bank and sorted everything out. The purchase of our “forever home” was always going to be complicated to say the least. My wife and I were in the process of buying a substantial off plan New Build home, entering self-employed status as a new GP partner with no previous accounts and to complicate things further, having to factor in maternity leave & maternity pay!

Other financial advisers may be able to help with one or two of the three factors here, but It takes real expertise to address all three issues so successfully and with such efficiency.
